What makes you the Next Runway Star?
I have never walked a runway, but fashion has been part of my culture all my life. I come from a tradition in which women wore saris not only for celebrations, but for work, school, farming, dancing—and even war. A sari can be exquisitely fashionable, expensive, eye-catching, and not always easy to wear or manage in public. It carries beauty, discipline, and strength all at once.
What would this once in a lifetime experience mean to you and why?
It would mean overcoming one of the greatest obstacles in my social life: allowing myself to be seen outside of my work. I have spent much of my life caring for others and helping women move through the pauses of aging. Walking a runway would be a reminder that we do not have to disappear as we grow older—we can step forward.
What are you most proud of about yourself or what have you overcome and why?
I am most proud of having rebuilt my life and career across two countries. As an immigrant from Pakistan, I completed my medical training twice—first in my home country and then again in the United States. Over more than 25 years in medicine, I have learned that resilience is not simply surviving hardship; it is continuing to create a life that feels true to you.
What would you do with the $20,000 cash prize?
I would probably use all of it to support my ongoing research and work in life & health span extension programs especially the chapters related to menopause, andropause & beauty.

My Anti-Aging Dance Break: Joy Is Longevity Medicine
I put on my makeup, called my favorite dance teacher Bina, and joined a viral dance trend. Learning choreography asks the brain to remember, coordinate, balance, react, laugh, and begin again. To me, that is a little bit of longevity medicine: preserving not only beauty, but joy, confidence, and the flexibility of the human mind.
