What makes you the Next Runway Star?
I have spent over 22 years working in Fashion / Retail Leadership. I am experiened from the back of the house to the front of the house. As a teenager I have walked in many shows. At this time in my life I could not imagine that I would have been open to this opportunity. I have recently taken on a new philosophy in life. I want to live my life out loud. I want to accomplish every desire I ever had. I have called myself , 'The Fashion Forward Diva" for many years. It is my established business name. I have worked the New York Fashion week before and always wondered what it would be like to be able to walk in the show itself. I just wrote a book called, "The Power of Self- Love and in this book I teach people how to have the confidence to do the thing that you always wanted to do.
What would this once in a lifetime experience mean to you and why?
I just wrote a book called, "The Power of Self- Love and in this book I teach people how to have the confidence to do the thing that you always wanted to do. I believe that "Transformation begins the moment people feel safe enough to be themselves." This is the moment I get to practise what I preach.
What are you most proud of about yourself or what have you overcome and why?
"I'm most proud that I didn't allow my past to define my future. I transformed my pain into purpose, and now I use that purpose to help other people transform their lives."
What would you do with the $20,000 cash prize?
I will use that money to finance my buisness I am presently branding. The Marilyn Stephen Global Brand. I am building a Legacy. I think that's where your greatest pride comes from, not because of recognition, but because I found a philosophy that can help people long after am gone.
