What makes you the Next Runway Star?
What makes me the next Runway Star? I’m stepping into a new chapter of my life with confidence, creativity, and the courage to try things that once intimidated me. I want to show that there is no age limit on reinventing yourself, feeling beautiful, and shining! ✨
What would this once in a lifetime experience mean to you and why?
As a child, I often felt like I wasn’t pretty, and those feelings stayed with me for many years. This once-in-a-lifetime experience would mean so much because it represents how far I’ve come—learning to see myself differently, stepping outside my comfort zone, and having the courage to shine. It would be a beautiful way of telling that little girl she was always worthy of being seen.
What are you most proud of about yourself or what have you overcome and why?
I’m most proud of my resilience. I found the courage to leave an abusive first marriage and later became an advocate for other women. I found my sobriety, cared for my parents and other loved ones, and became a holistic practitioner. Along the way, I also found my voice—writing and performing poetry at open mics, having my first poem copyrighted, and now writing my first novel. I’m proud that after spending so much of my life caring for others, I’m still discovering new parts of myself and having the courage to step forward and be seen.
What would you do with the $20,000 cash prize?
I would use the $20,000 to invest in this next chapter of my life—continuing my writing, publishing my first novel, and expanding my work helping other women rediscover their own strength and voice. I’d also set aside a little for something I’ve rarely done without guilt: an unforgettable experience just for me.
