What makes you the Next Runway Star?
I bring more than beauty to the runway I bring a story. As a proud Vincentian-American woman, educator, author, nonprofit leader, mother, grandmother, and caregiver, I have spent my life overcoming challenges while uplifting others. My journey has taught me resilience, confidence, grace, and the importance of embracing who I am. I believe true beauty comes from strength, authenticity, and the ability to inspire others. I represent women who have faced obstacles, cared for their families, pursued their dreams, and continued to rise no matter what life placed in their path. I want people to see that beauty has no age, no size, and no limitations. When I walk a runway, I carry my culture, my faith, my life experiences, and the lessons I have learned along the way. I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves, embrace their uniqueness, and never stop pursuing their goals. I am not just walking for myself I am walking for every person who who has ever been told they couldn’t shine.
What would this once in a lifetime experience mean to you and why?
Being selected for this once-in-a-lifetime experience means more to me than simply walking a runway. It represents perseverance, growth, and the courage to pursue my dreams regardless of age, obstacles, or where I come from. As a Vincentian American woman, educator, entrepreneur, caregiver, and community advocate, I want to show others that it’s never too late to step into your purpose and shine. This opportunity allows me to celebrate confidence, diversity, and authenticity while inspiring others to believe in themselves. For me, The Next Runway Star is not just about fashion it’s about representing resilience, grace, and the beauty of embracing who you truly are. I am honored, grateful, and excited to make the most of this incredible journey.
What are you most proud of about yourself or what have you overcome and why?
What I am most proud of is my resilience. Life has presented me with many challenges, including caring for my aging mother, supporting my family through difficult times, and overcoming personal struggles that tested my strength and faith. Through it all, I have continued to move forward with determination, compassion, and purpose. I am proud that I never gave up, even when the road was difficult. Every obstacle taught me patience, perseverance, and the importance of helping others. Those experiences have shaped me into a stronger, more confident woman who understands that true beauty comes not only from appearance but from character, courage, and the ability to rise after every setback. My journey has taught me that strength is not about never falling…it’s about getting back up every time you do. That is what I am most proud of, and it is what I hope to inspire in others.
What would you do with the $20,000 cash prize?
If I were fortunate enough to win the $20,000 cash prize, I’d use it to create opportunities for both my family and my community. A portion would go toward supporting my family and easing some of the financial responsibilities that come with being a caregiver. I’d also invest in my nonprofit and community initiatives that focus on education, empowerment, and helping individuals overcome challenges and reach their full potential. I believe success is most meaningful when it can be shared with others. Winning this prize wouldn’t only help me achieve personal goals, but it’d also allow me to make a positive impact in the lives of people who need encouragement, support, and a chance to succeed. It’d be an investment in purpose, service, and creating lasting change. After recently losing my beloved sister, Ann, on June 14, 2026, part of this blessing would also help my family as we heal and move forward while honoring her memory. That’d make this opportunity even more meaningful to me.
