What makes you the Next Runway Star?
I believe I'm the next Runway Star because I represent resilience, confidence, and the courage to chase dreams at any stage of life. I modeled when I was younger, but growing up with a single mother and limited financial resources meant that dream had to be put on hold. Instead of letting that define me, I built a successful career, became a proud mother, and never lost sight of the passion that first inspired me. Today, I'm ready to prove that it's never too late to bet on yourself. I want to show women that your circumstances don't define your future, and that age should never limit your ambition. Whether you're pursuing a lifelong dream, starting over, or simply finding the confidence to take a chance, you are capable of more than you think. If given this opportunity, I won't just walk a runway, I hope to inspire others to believe that the best chapters of their story may still be ahead.
What would this once in a lifetime experience mean to you and why?
Being selected as the Next Runway Star would be proof that dreams don't have an expiration date. It would remind women everywhere that your past, your age, or your circumstances should never determine what you're capable of achieving. Sometimes the right opportunity comes when you're finally confident enough to fully embrace it.
What are you most proud of about yourself or what have you overcome and why?
I am most proud of the life I've built through perseverance. I've stood on my own two feet, raised my family through adversity, built a successful career, and never stopped learning or growing. I believe life is about continuously evolving, and I refuse to let fear define what's possible. I have so many dreams and goals still ahead of me, and I would be honored for this opportunity to be the first step in an exciting new chapter. More than anything, I hope my journey reminds others that resilience, determination, and the courage to start something new can lead to incredible opportunities.
What would you do with the $20,000 cash prize?
My mother is getting older so I would use the funds to create an easily accessible walk in shower to prevent falling and then set aside some funds for a family trip!
