What makes you the Next Runway Star?

Perseverance, from living with Fibromyalgia, several back surgeries to a new sense of life. Traveling the world and living life to the fullest. We can all walk this walk together!

What would this once in a lifetime experience mean to you and why?

I would love to be the face that says, anyone can do this. I want to connect with everyday people who have had their own struggles from domestic violence, sexual assault, chronic illness, Postpartum, the list goes on. And show them you too, have the power to rewrite your story. I am honored to have been chosen to represent that everyday people, can make a difference in the world. When I was a young teen, I wanted nothing more than to be like those models and walk that runway. I have since come to realize, we are all beautiful, special and powerful in our own way.

What are you most proud of about yourself or what have you overcome and why?

I am most proud of my son, the young man he has become. I had the most devastating and tragic beginnings to starting a family. First, was the loss of my twin boys, Robert and Thomas, shortly after giving birth at 25 1/2 weeks. My heart was broken, I was in a fog for months. But exactly 11 months later my baby boy was born, but he arrived a month early so all the devastation and loss came back, I was so scared, until that moment I say him…he was perfect. He was named after the twins and I thought my perfect little family was about to begin. But, 3 days later his Dad left for a job, never to return. He had already begun another family elsewhere. I honestly wanted no part of living. I found myself in that fog again as I started this journey on my own. But everyday as my son smiled and looked at me, I just knew I could and would do whatever I could to ensure he had the best life possible. Till this day, I’m not sure he knows how he saved my life.

What would you do with the $20,000 cash prize?

I would give my son and his partner the most amazing wedding and Honeymoon.
