Nothing makes me more deserving than the other competitors, but I would be honored to represent such a meaningful cause.
What would this once in a lifetime experience mean to you and why?
This once in a lifetime opportunity would mean so much to me. More than anything, it would allow me to step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself in ways I never have before. Being in such a public environment and taking center stage would be intimidating, but it is a challenge I am ready to embrace and overcome. I know this experience would help me grow, build confidence, and become a stronger version of myself.
What are you most proud of about yourself or what have you overcome and why?
I am most proud of completing my education and becoming a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Microbiology. It represents years of dedication, hard work, and perseverance. However, on a more personal level, I am most proud of learning to acknowledge and work through my mental health challenges. That journey has taught me resilience, self-compassion, and the importance of continuing to grow even through difficult moments.
What would you do with the $20,000 cash prize?
It may sound cliché, but it is a reality many people face: education is expensive, and the cost of schooling can be overwhelming compared to what the average person earns. If I were given this opportunity, one of the first things I would do is pay off my student debt. This would not only provide financial relief but also allow me to continue building my future with greater freedom and stability.
