What makes you the Next Runway Star?
I once walked the Tyra Show runway as a slender plus-size woman, and now I am more confident, older, and beautiful inside and out. I would like to show the world you can be amazing in your 50s.
What would this once in a lifetime experience mean to you and why?
I would like to show the world that you can be confident curvy and 51.
What are you most proud of about yourself or what have you overcome and why?
I have overcome mental health issues, being unhoused, criminalization, writing a book, and completing my master's degree to being accepted into the PhD program. I have risen from the ashes, going through the cocoon stages to becoming a butterfly.
What would you do with the $20,000 cash prize?
I would like to start a non profit organization to help young women and women to become independent and confident.
