What makes you the Next Runway Star?
I am someone who enjoys being of service to others by sharing my lessons, wisdom I have learned through my trials and tribulations throughout my life. I am someone who has been working on whole body wellness, I believe being able to show the world the light within, the God in me. I have always tried to hide my light, shrink away. I am finally ready to take up space, and in doing so, hopefully inspire others! Beauty from the inside out, that I have worked diligently to create for me, help other to do the same for themselves!
What would this once in a lifetime experience mean to you and why?
I have come from a place of self hatred for most of my life, without truly understanding how that affected my whole world. I started a journey, diving into shadow work, making peace with the darker parts of myself. Bringing light into the darkness! Started showing up for myself, choosing me all the love I use to pour into others (people pleasing) I now pour that love into me. Showing the world how to fall in love with yourself, inspiring others to go on the same journey, because they are worth it! It would be like putting a bow on the top of a gigantic present, that has been in the making for the past eleven years. I have lost over 100lbs, it hasn't been an easy journey. Lots of challenges a cha-cha of the scale going up and down, over and over again. It's been about cultivating whole body health mind, body, spirit. Lighting the spark, fanning the flames of my internal fire, that was almost completely extinguished. NO more shrinking, I am ready to shine my light! Walking the runway!
What are you most proud of about yourself or what have you overcome and why?
The start of my awakening journey (09/2015)(chosen one path) was a near death experience, during my partial hysterectomy, doctor made a mistake, punctured a hole in my large intestine. This mistake wasn't discovered until four days after the surgery, I was very septic (septicemia). After the exploratory surgery to fix the hole, I woke up to a wound vac sticking out of my abdomen split in half, with an ileostomy bag for my small intestine. I ended up in the ICU, with collapsed lungs, internal organs not functioning, NG tube down my nose to my stomach to collect bile. I had an out of body experience, I found myself floating above my body, looking down at myself, didn't know if I was walking out of that hospital. The road to recovery was long, lots of learning how to persevere, several surgeries to fix what was broken. That's when I started my get healthy journey, that has led me down a path of reclaiming a life that actually looks like me. I am living the life I once prayed for! Amen!
What would you do with the $20,000 cash prize?
I would continue my journey as a chosen one, I am a channel for God and my spirit team. Part of my purpose is raising the vibration, healing the earth. Using my voice to wake up the collective, I create social media content about cultivating self love, that creates positive ripples around the world. I also have a blog called Random Acts of Kindness, I would use the money for travel, and donations for a variety of causes. I enjoy directly donating to people a long my path. My dream is to make Random Acts of Kindness a nonprofit that would create a web of services for animals, homeless, medical bills assistance, etc.
