What makes you the Next Runway Star?
I bring more than just a walk honey, I bring presence. I’m a 20 and from Oakland, California, and I’ve learned to carry myself with confidence, resilience, and authenticity. When I step onto a runway, I want people to remember how I made them feel, not just what I wore.
What would this once in a lifetime experience mean to you and why?
This would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from some of the best people in the fashion industry and grow as both a model and a person. I would soak up every experience, build genuine connections with designers, photographers, stylists, and other models, and give 100% every time I stepped onto the runway. Coming from a city that lacks hope and promise for its people, I’ve always dreamed of breaking into fashion on a bigger stage. I would use this opportunity to prove that with hard work, dedication, and confidence, anyone from a different, complex background can chase a dream that once felt out of reach. I want to leave the experience not only as a stronger model, but as someone who inspires others to believe in themselves and pursue their own goals.
What are you most proud of about yourself or what have you overcome and why?
I’m mostly proud of myself for how strong my resilience has stood its ground. Despite the setbacks I’ve faced, I’ve never stopped believing that I can build the life I want. I’ve had to overcome academic struggles, moments of self-doubt, and personal relationships that challenged my confidence, but instead of giving up, I’ve continued to push forward. I’ve learned that success isn’t about having a perfect path or a clean slate, it’s about getting back up every time life knocks you down.
What would you do with the $20,000 cash prize?
If I had won $20,000, I would use part of it to continue my school tuition in nursing and cover expenses while pursuing my career, and I’d also invest in building my modeling portfolio by working with photographers, attending castings, and traveling to opportunities that could help me grow in the fashion industry. I would also set aside some of the money as savings to give myself financial stability while I continue chasing my goals. Winning wouldn’t just change my bank account, it would give me the freedom to take bigger risks, say yes to more opportunities, and turn this experience into the start of a long-term career.
